Healing Through Your Chiron Placement
Chiron is an asteroid that was reclassified as a planet in 1989. Chiron is orbiting our sun for now, but it has an unstable orbit and is considered a Centaur object because of its mixed nature. It sometimes appears icy and comet-like, but other times it resembles a rocky asteroid. It may eventually be ejected, but for the time being, its astrological significance is that of the “wounded healer”, and its placement in the birth chart shows how one alchemizes pain into power.
If you don’t know your Chiron placement, you can use this calculator to determine it:

Your Chiron placement is also a great indicator of unresolved wounds and patterns that you have accumulated from your early and past lives, so healing through this placement can help you to even out your karmic debts with the universe and clean the slate so that you can focus all of your energies into this life’s goals, desires, and joys. Turning your previous pains into power is one of the best ways to empower yourself, and it is a gift to be able to heal your inner world. The Chiron placement gives us fantastic insight on where we should focus our healing energies so that we can align with our higherself. Your greatest pain can become your greatest strength once you can fully understand its significance and you’re able to address your wounds. But as many of us know, that is easier said than done.

Once you have identified your individual Chiron Wound, it is up to you and you alone to heal it. You have to be brave enough to do the work that only you can do and face your inner pain, but there are some steps you can take to make this process a little easier to get through. It’s important that you care for yourself through this process and recognize that yes, it is a process. This isn’t something that you can do in one afternoon so you are going to have to commit to your personal growth and healing in order to see the positive results.
How to Care for Yourself During Chiron Healing
Practice Energy Work Before and After Your Healing Sessions
It is important that you step into this healing process in the right mental, emotional, and spiritual state. If you’ve been practicing energy work for a long time then you likely already have your own process for setting your vibrational standpoint, but if you’re new to the concept here are a few examples of how you can get yourself into the best energetic frequency to take on this heavy healing task:
Charge and align your chakras
Meditate
Sage or otherwise cleanse yourself and your healing space, before and after
Practice yoga or other forms of physical activity before and after your session to remove stagnant energy from your body
Stay hydrated
Cast a circle
Practice self care frequently, especially around your healing sessions. Don’t be afraid to treat yourself to a massage, a reiki session, or whatever activities fill you with joy.
You can also call in some extra power to help you through this work:
Ask your spirit guides and ancestors to aid you through this process
Cast spells for clarity
Enlist your favorite crystals, but be smart about which ones you choose to bring in
Allow what you discover to fortify you, not tear you apart further. There may be times when this process gets rough because healing is messy, but once you’ve experienced the pain, release it and allow yourself to walk away stronger. Do not dwell on what you find, make peace with it. Remember to love yourself through this process and be gentle with your inner self no matter what you discover. To truly heal, we have to be completely honest with ourselves about everything and take accountability for it. This can be taxing, and it may weigh heavily on one’s self-esteem, so having a few positive, uplifting affirmations to chant during and after these healing sessions can help you combat any negative thoughts. It is also important to remember that by simply deciding to heal, you are stepping into a new version of yourself and separating from the parts of you that no longer resonate with your soul. It’s alright if you’ve made mistakes in the past, what’s important now is that you are choosing to grow and become a better version of you. Don’t be too hard on yourself for what you’ve done because you cannot change the past, instead put that energy into making the conscious choice to improve in the future.
If you are really struggling, take up the habit of calibrating your thoughts and beliefs. In this process you will write the limiting or negative belief on one side of the page and write all of the combative, positive beliefs on the other side of the page. This is how you reprogram your mind and it is one of the best ways to grow into the version of yourself you wish to be. You can also practice ho'oponopono if you discover that you’ve wronged others, and/or if you feel others have wronged you.
Ho'oponopono
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
This powerful Hawaiian prayer can help to reset the energy of connections and release guilt and shame for both/all parties so that we can all move on. Forgive others and forgive yourself so that you can resonate with your own inner peace.
This is the hard work, but I applaud you for being brave enough to take the steps necessary to improve yourself and your life experience. Know that you are not alone in this process. Your higher self, your spirit guides, your ancestors, and I are all with you as you embark on this sacred journey. For many of us, it has been our job to break generational curses as well, so if you find yourself sifting through ancient pain that has been passed onto you, try not to resent those who came before you did. They were likely doing the best that they could with the resources they had available at that time, and while they may not be conscious enough to admit it in the human experience, they are grateful for the work that you are doing now to heal the generational line. It is okay to take pride in your accomplishment of conquering new emotional and spiritual territories for your family, but avoid getting a big head about it. We’re all human, for now, and you will make your own mistakes as well. Practice grace and forgiveness through this process and you will have amazing results that allow your heart to be set free and soar to new heights.
I wish you all the greatest of blessings.
Happy healing.
