Upright Interpretation:
More than a warning of mortality, the death card’s true message is that of transformation. In life, we are surrounded by different types of death. Parts of us have died off and no longer reside within us, old relationships have been buried, and we’ve put situations on the stake to watch them suffer as they free us from their clutches. It is typical to fear death from the standpoint of the ego, but as you begin to advance on your spiritual journey you will come to learn that death looks like much more than the end of the flesh prison you’re currently piloting.

Reversed Interpretation:
When this card appears in reverse it can be indicative of a resistance to change. You may be keeping yourself stuck in a dead-end situation, refusing to allow the old to fall away. Identify your resistance and figure out how to overcome your ego blocks.
