Calling in Deities
You may choose to work with one deities, different deities for different rites, or no deity at all.
If you chose a deity, remember to bring them an offering that corresponds to their taste to show your appreciation.
You will likely want to learn to personalize this rite, but if you are just starting out, this chant can help you get their attention:
“(Chosen Deity), I beckon to you,
Hear me through,
Join me in this sacred space
Bless my presence with your face.
Lend me your power and skill,
Stand with me now to accomplish my will.
Oh great (Chosen Deity), grant to your assistance,
Together we manifest through my persistance.
Accept me humbly as I can,
Together let’s accomplish all that we can.”
It is always important to thank any ritual guest for their presence and help, but it is especially important not to forget when you are working with any deity.
Your guides and ancestors might be quick to forgive if you forget the gratitude step, but deities are not above throwing your rite away due to lack of respect.
